When I first see this almost snow white building in the capital Santa Cruz on the Canary Island, right next to the sea, I am fascinated: The "Auditorio de Tenerife". It reminds me a bit of the Sydney Opera House. No and clearly this house is not from this planet. At the front the engines left and right are good to see, right? May be its a spaceship .... Santiago Calatrava has really built a masterpiece. And the inside it is just as much a dream. Millions of fragments of small white tiles give the building its radiant effect. But my eyes can not take my eyes off the fantastically shaped, beak-like structure that forms the roof of that Concert and Congress Hall. What a vibration! This top, this crescent - no, the more appropriate expression is probably sting. Architecturally simply magnificent.
