Location
This photo was taken at Round Lake, BC.Time
I'd been camping at Round Lake for a few days, and noticed the abundance of beautiful dragon flies. This particular dragon fly kept coming by the spot I was sitting. I had my Nikon camera by my side and decided it would be amazing and challenging to capture a dragon fly in flight.Lighting
It was a perfect day for lighting with slight cloud coverage.Equipment
I am a hobbyist, armature photographer and do not have a lot of equipment. I used my Nikon D3300 with a Nikon Nikkor ar 70-300 mm lens. (yes, outdated as some may feel, but I love my camera and lens.)Inspiration
The beauty of the dragon fly as well as the challenge to capture it in flight, especially, with the unpredictable flight patterns.Editing
Not very much post-processing was done. I cropped the photo a bit , a bit of toning and sharping. In my camera bag
As mentioned I am an armature , hobbyist photographer, I have my D3300 Nikon camera, the Nikon af Nikkor 70-300 mm lens , wide angle lens. and a few filters.Feedback
Patience. I used the repeat, shutter, and experimented with the speed and aperture in manual mode.
