Behind The Lens

Location

I enjoy photography as a hobby and hope one day to get to a more professional level in the craft of photography. I love on a lake lot where there is opportunity to capture photos of waterfowl and other animals.

Time

The photo was taken late evening. The weather was partly overcast but a cool day for being outside.

Lighting

My favorite shots are contrasting in color with good shadows to bring out the color highlights.

Equipment

I used a Nikon d5200 with a Nikon 200-500mm zoom lens. I was sitting on the lakeside facing porch.

Inspiration

Being in a wheelchair having a good zoom lens is a must. There is no slipping up on wildlife without spooking them.

Editing

Some photos I will bring out contrast using Corel Photo Shop, but this turned out fine using the 500 Nikon lens.

In my camera bag

Most of my lenses are Nikon with zoom and auto focus. Wanting to get a NIkon 105mm micro next.

Feedback

For best results I would recommend using the lens brand by the same camera maker. Happy shooting friends.
