Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in the home of the model.

Time

I would say about 4pm in October so kinda golden hour.

Lighting

She wanted me to take a photo that combined the natural light of the stair case area with the light source I had illuminating her as a keylight.

Equipment

NIKON D750 with a Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM lens and a dedolight bicolor led 1x1 and dedo softbox.

Inspiration

I tend to shoot boudoir images for models portfolios and for various publications. This was also used in my boudoir portfolio.

Editing

yes. I cleaned up the skin, and darkened the breast away from the camera to give the front breast more separation.

In my camera bag

I always shoot Nikon D850 or D750 with primes 24-70mm 2.8, 70-200mm 2.8, 85mm.1.8. I also have been shooting with a Sony a7rII and corresponding primes as well.

Feedback

I used strobes for photography but my recent education in film school as me liking constant light. which I think allows me to make more accurate adjustments during the shoot. I use LED lighting because not as intense as bulb and not as hot for the model during the shoot.
