Location
I took this shot in my mother's gardenTime
It was middle of the dayLighting
The lighting wasn't particularly good and overcastEquipment
It was shot on an Olympus omd em1 mk2 in one hand whilst holding a flash in the other to balance the light and lift the shadowsInspiration
I wanted to shoot something eye level and this fly was the only acomadating model, only problem was it was on the grass, so I laid on the grass balancing the equipment as best I could whilst rocking back and forwards to obtain focus.Editing
The only processing were basic adjustments to the raw fileIn my camera bag
I normally shoot Nikon but I keep the Oly for macroFeedback
Macro is a very hard genre to shoot. Great practice and patience are needed to achieve good results . Expect to be disappointed at first because it can be frustrating but stick with it and the rewards will come.
