Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo as the sun was coming up on the Atlantic Ocean on JayCee Beach in Vero Beach, Florida.

Time

It was early in the morning. Probably about 6:45 am.

Lighting

Sunrises on our coastline are different every day. The color of the sky can often vary based on evening air temperature and the current humidity level. As the sun's heat mixes into the atmosphere when it breaks the horizon, the entire landscape of color can change before your eyes.

Equipment

I used the camera on my Samsung S20 phone and did not use any special filters to take this photo. The morning was perfect.

Inspiration

I was capturing the beauty of the moment. These sunsets will change within minutes of you watching them. I just wanted to capture that moment and reflect upon it during my day.

Editing

I did not do any post-processing on this photo.

In my camera bag

Usually - It's my phone in my pocket. It's that simple.

Feedback

Quiet the mind and be in the moment with eyes wide open. Our busy minds consume our consciousness, and in a minute, you can miss the world's beauty. It is also important to not always look at things from the same constant angle. Bend over, crouch down, tilt sideways, get up close, take a few steps back, and look at something from far away. The simplest of things can look completely different in different lighting and from a different angle. Just open your mind to exploring the possibilities.
