Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was actually a project I took on to see if I could push myself. The interesting thing about it I that it's actually 1 side of a building I mirrored and edited to have kind of that Wes Anderson kind of vibe.

Time

The original photo was taken during a gray rainy day. Nothing like rain to make you go and edit photos.

Lighting

As previously stated this is a photo manipulation of one of my own photos. The original photo isn't very impressive, but it gave me a canvas to try my editing skills out on.

Equipment

The original shot was done with my Sony A7RII with 24-70mm. I tend to shoot without a tripod to keep me moving.

Inspiration

I love old architecture and had a fellow photographer show me his edits of something similar. I figured I was a bit rust on major edits, and thought I'd dust off my skills. 6 hours later I had this shot.

Editing

This shot required a lot of lightroom edits, but I needed a photo that was worth the edits. Thankfully photoshop can be your best friend when needing to make some creative edits.

In my camera bag

My normal everyday carry is either my A7RII or A7R IV. I'm usually shooting on an 85mm, but I've been using my 24-70mm f2.8 GM or my 12-24mm f4 G lens.

Feedback

Photography is part of the journey, and editing is just as important as the photo itself. Don't be afraid to try new things.
