Location
The terrace of a bar in Madrid called "Peyma". We were sitting having some beers and tapas, and throught our meeting, my camera was close to me, and I was shooting. He is a photographer too, apart from a friend, and he is so shy that allows nobody to take him pictures. I felt so honored of being trusted in such a task, memorableTime
I don't remember exactly, I believe was around 14 or 15 during the beginning of autumm.Lighting
I know that spot perfectly and wanted the mixed light and shadow on the wall, although was cloudy, so I was listening to the light as soon the sun was showing upEquipment
Just my Mark IV and my 85mmInspiration
I love Alois with all of my hear, he is one of my dearest friends and menthor. His pictures as photographer are incredible, we have worked several times, the best shooting was about Alzheimer's and I was at that time modelling more often. He inspires me, and he is always able to get part of my soul on each picture, so I wanted to do the same with him. So all the serie is about him trying to hide himself from the camera, not being able to do it with me behind.Editing
With lightroom, I always work better in black and white highlighting the contrast. First I work on the general colours and luminances and then I worked on the areas I want to emphasise. In my camera bag
What is always with me is my 85mm, my 50mm and 70-300mm, just in caseFeedback
Do not miss the motive of your picture, but never forget about the lights and shadows and how to frame. Always remember the background when you shoot portraits.
