Behind The Lens

Location

Through this covid time we're going through, my favourite thing-to-do is to spend my time walking around the countryside next to my home town.

Time

Just in the company of my partner in love :P, we try to walk as many kilometres as we can in a few hours, but the camera is always with me. This morning was special because it snowed all night and when we got up everything was covered by a white layer. And one of the photos I took was this one, it remembers me of any nothern country, but this is exactly in the middle of Spain!

Lighting

Taking pictures in the snow could be a bit tricky because camera gets crazy with exposure, so be careful and always overexpose, take it into account!

Equipment

This shot was made with a Nikon D5100, an amateur and old one, but lovely. The lens was a Nikkor 18-105mm.

Inspiration

In fact, I like watching some Youtube videos from a Sweden girl who loves winter, snow, ice, nature and I like what she shows in those videos, so she is my inspiration.

Editing

Well, to be honest I don't like using too much post-processing, but of course I usually play with contrast, bright, saturation and exposure.

In my camera bag

I usually take with me my Nikon D5100, and two lenses, the 18-105mm and a 35mm too. Filters for both lenses, the polarizer and a ND filter, just to enjoy and use imagination. I always take a tripod with me. Depending on what I want to do and the weather I take a small one from Cullman or my adorable Vangard.

Feedback

The advice I'll give you is to take pics whenever you can and fill yourself with inspiration having a look to all the fantastic masterpieces you can find in Viewbug.
