Location
I took the photo while standing on the platform waiting for the local train in Lisbon, Portugal. This is the Oriente train station, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava in 1995. The station was inaugurated on May 19th, 1998 as part of the celebrations marking the opening of the Expo '98 world's fair.Time
This was in fact the first photo that I took in 2021. It was taken at about 4 pm.Lighting
Not really.Equipment
I took the phone with my Samsung phone.Inspiration
I have taken photos of this train station before but had not seen it from this angle before since I recently moved and was now taking a different train. What inspired me to take the photo was seeing the interesting building behind the train station.Editing
I mainly use my photos on Instagram and typically I may make sure that the photo is not crooked so I may have adjusted the horizon if it was crooked. I often also add a bit of brightness if needed and add a bit of colour and saturation. I probably did for this photo too, but I can't really remember. It was just a random shot among thousands that I take every day.In my camera bag
Just my phone. I do have a digital Canon SLR camera but I rarely use it these days.Feedback
Whenever you see something interesting, take a photo - you have nothing to lose. I am old enough to remember the time before digital photography; taking photos was expensive! So don't hesitate, you never know what photo will turn out to be a good one. And the more photos you take, the more your eye develops.
