Behind The Lens

Location

On a trip with my family.

Time

This Photo was taken mid to late afternoon on a hot day so these little bundles of joy were just starting to move around as it quite a shaded area.

Lighting

the lighting was quite challenging at the time as the pandas were moving in and of the shadows so it was certainly putting my equipment to the test.

Equipment

This image was captured on a canon 7D MK1 and a 120 - 300mm sigma f2.8 lens with the lens hood on. I tend to use this lens alot as it has great Bokeh and clarity and when used on a crop censored camera body you get a reach of closer to 450mm.

Inspiration

I have alwasy been facinated with red pandas and there inquisitive nature.

Editing

in post i just removed any artifacts and thats about it really as i wanted to keep the image looking as natural as possible.

In my camera bag

Canon 7D Mk1 120mm - 300mm Sigma F2.8 85mm Canon F1.8 100mm Canon L F2.8 Macro

Feedback

patience and knowing the animals your trying to capture is important along side having your equipment ready to take an image if required.
