Location
This was taken in Arches National Park, Utah.Time
It was about 4:00 in the afternoon on a February day. The temperature was in the 50s and I was able to follow a path around some natural arches. Thanks to the time of year, the sun was low enough to give me some dramatic light.Lighting
The sun was low in the sky on a February afternoon. The clouds were phenomenal in a bright cerulean sky.Equipment
Nikon D5500 and a wide angle lens. The critical component for that time of day was a polarizer filter.Inspiration
I was looking for a way to use a natural frame around the land between rock formations.Editing
It was a RAW image so I had to increase the contrast and used the blue luminance slider for the dramatic sky.In my camera bag
Nikon Z6ii.Feedback
Don't be afraid of the sun. Use it to bring out the natural luminance of the subject under blue skies.
