“Children are resilient.”
If I could count the times that was said to me....
I don’t believe that children are just simply resilient. Not anymore at least. I believe that it is the love and innocence in their sweet fragile hearts, that lead them to a safe place when the world around them doesn’t make sense. When they don’t know the words to match the things they may feel. When they just know they feel uncomfortable. To say the least. Rosie wasn’t intended to replace or distract my daughters feelings at the time. We knew Rosie was going to be apart of our world before the winds shifted. It just so happened that for my little one, her heart found a safe place with Rosie. When they are together, especially in times where her little mind needs to get away, their hearts become a beautiful masterpiece that is, resilience.
