Location
The photo was taken on the Baton Rouge campus of LSU. The young lady pictured was a student at the time working on her Master's degree. We arranged to do the session around the campus. This photo was taken during the last phase of the session on one of the openings along a passageway that gave views of the surrounding buildings and grounds. I had worked a few times before with this young lady. A real thrill to have in front of my camera.Time
The photo was taken about 11 am.Lighting
The lighting was natural lighting coming through the arched opening in the passage way coupled with a single manual flash bounced from a umbrella light stand combo.Equipment
The camera was a Nikon D40x with Nikon 18-200mm Lens. Flash was Nikon Speedlight SB-600 on light stand and reflected off a silver umbrella.Inspiration
This image is from an extensive photo shoot with two students enrolled on campus working on their Master degrees. The location gave me/and the girls the inspiration to take photos of them at the arched openings in the campus walkway.Editing
Post processing was done in Adobe Photoshop Elements...In my camera bag
Equipment: one or two Nikon cameras, at least 3 lenses (Nikon and Tamron), flash units for fill, and other accessories for an outdoor photo session.Feedback
Not really, go with the surroundings and the subject you are working with...ideas develop as you shoot.
