The photo was taken in our local cafe called Peets. It's in LA.Time
Well it was in the afternoon - we like to go & sit outside where there are umbrellas so it's not too sunny. Although now in January it is still sunny it's not quite as warm as in October when this was taken.Lighting
The lighting is in the background - the foreground has darker shapes so the contrast shows the shapes up more.Equipment

I always take my camera with me & don't look for inspirations per se - I just shoot whatever I think will come out well.Editing

I am not a professional photographer so I just have my digital camera with me that is handy to carry. Someday I may have more equipment - who knows?Feedback
I would think to keep your eyes open & shoot whatever takes your fancy! I am always interested in sculptural stuff & images that catch my eye - shapes/colours/architecture/unusual looking objects - light/dark & in-between!
