For this shot I used my cell phone. A galaxy S20+ and a small sized reflection ballInspiration
The inspiration for this shot is my husband, the subject. He lost his eye in a work related injury after a 5 year battle requiring 2 surgeries to try and save it. He suffered a heart attack one year after his eye was removed. These unfortunate events turned our lives upside down. There were multiple battles faught in order to get to this moment that this was taken. In particular the one that he fights with now; his altered life and sense of purpose as a man. Noticing he's wearing a favorite rock artist shirt, allowed me to show him he's still him despite the changes.Editing
I processed in B & W in order to remove distractions made by color for this photoIn my camera bag
I normally have lenses and a variety of lens ball sizes.Feedback
My advice is not to worry about the final outcome. Instead stay in the moment you're in for the capture. The final result tends to be better.
