Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo nearby the Freedom Tower (one of the most popular landmarks in New York City where i live).

Time

It was taken in the early afternoon of a beautiful sunny day.

Lighting

I’ve been fascinated by Manhattan landmarks and the architecture of it’s buildings since i moved to New York City over 7 years ago. Taking photos of Manhattan landmarks and all it’s different types of older buildings (brownstone and more) had became my passion. And when i’m free, my top favorite thing to do is to get on the subway from Brooklyn and go for a stroll and take photos in Manhattan.

Equipment

The photo was taken a couple of years ago using my husband’s iPhone6 then. Now i mostly use my Sony Cybershot Camera and iPhone XS to take photos.

Inspiration

My love for my beautiful city and my fascination by the beauty of it’s landmarks and awesome vibe.

Editing

I usually do for most of my photos but i also focus more on the angle, lighting and the weather, but for this one, i’ve only used effects and filters from the iPhone itself and surprisingly the shot came out just great.

In my camera bag

Feedback

When you have a real passion for something, you can definitely make a great masterpiece out of it. My passion and love for New York City and Urban photography helped me polish my talent taking photos with a minimal equipment. The better the photos gets, the more creative i’ve became to advance my knowledge and skills in photography.
