A male banded demoiselle preparing for the day. Ideally I wanted to shoot this from directly above to maximise the extent to which the wings were in focus, however, there was a strong likelihood had I done so that I would have fallen into the river... perhaps I lack commitment... :-) So I had to settle for this slight angle and handheld to be on the safe side.
