Location
Taken at Slimbridge Wildlife & Wetland Trust, Gloucestershire. (from a hide)Time
Mid morningLighting
The hide mentioned is well positioned for almost all day round light. It's one of my most successful image locations for birds.Equipment
Nikon D500 with Tamron 150-600 G1 Lens perched and steadied on the open window sill. High enough ISO, High ISO Noise reduction.Inspiration
There were numerous Redshanks at the site that day, and, following this one, I timed it touching the water without actually disturbing the surface.Editing
I always use the "FLAT" lighting app in the camera for birds and wildlife. This gives best detail. I process via colour balance, vibrance, saturation, and curves to reach desired result. In my camera bag
At such sites maybe a gimble head, tripod or even monopod, the camera above with lens, and I leave a spare camera in the car just in case, and of course batteries with me.Feedback
