Such a clear day, the amazing architecture stood out against the blue skies. The shadows cast are amazing.

This photo of The Oculus was taken on a visit to New York. A friend and I spent a long weekend enjoying photography, seeing Art and Architecture. This was one of the places we visited.Time
This photo was part of an amazing day. It was mid-August (late summer). We started out early in the morning in Brooklyn, walked across the Brooklyn bridge after picking up coffee and muffins. We visited the Carmen Herrera exhibition and then walked across to the Oculus. The weather was amazing, blue skies and not too hot. This photo was taken late morning before lunch.Lighting
I wanted to capture the architecture details and the genius behind the design. The design of the building casts the most amazing shadows and light on it self, extending the geometric design of the building.Equipment
Nikon D3400, 18.0-55.0mm f/3.5-5.6Inspiration
This building has interested me since it was planned. It is a must see building when going to New York. It did not disappoint. I love more abstract pictures so I wanted to make sure I could capture shapes, and geometry of the building.Editing

I am an amateur photographer just starting out so I just have my Nikon D3400 with a couple of specific lenses that were recommended to me.Feedback
I took a lot of photos of the Oculus both inside and out, from a variety of angles. You have to explore and see what works and experiment. I think I would love, if I had the time, to visit this building at a variety different times and conditions to see what other shots I could get and how shadows and light changed.
