This was taken on a ranch in Hugo, Colorado in the fall of this year.Time
This was taken in the morning while I was out trying to find them in order to get some aerials of them. they kept moving away whenever I would try to come close and so I sat with my back to them and of course they are curious animals and wanted to know what I was about. As I sat not making a move they came closer to me to say hello.Lighting
the lighting was clear sky and morning light.Equipment
I only had my drone with a hasselblad camera on it and my iPhone 6. My iPhone was the only thing I could hold and not scare them so that is what I used. I never in my life thought I would take serious photos with a phone.Inspiration
I wanted to catch them in their domain and be as unobtrusive as I could be.Editing
I only used photoshop to change the photo from color to B/W. I darkened the sky just a bit but other than that no other processing was needed.In my camera bag
I normally have my drone with a hasselblad on it and will usually always have a phone or my nikon D300.Feedback
My advice is to use what you have. You do not have to have the latest and the best as long as you know your composition and how to use what you have. Master the equipment you have, its all about the subject not the equipment.
