Thank You. I was out picking up dinner when I noticed the gorgeous sunset and how it lit up the grass in the foreground. Just shows that you always have to have a camera handy.

Location
I was on my way to pick up our supper order noticed this beautiful sunset and the way it lit up the grass in front of me. I did not have my camera and ended up taking this shot with my Iphone. From that day on I always carry my Nikon D750 when I go out in my car.Time
It was around 5 pm. The location is a high point in our neighborhood. It was the beginning of winter and the grasses had not been cut down for the winter yet and provided a great foreground for the shot.Lighting
The orange from the sunset provided great backlighting and gave the grasses that are normally a greyish color an orange glow. It was stunning.Equipment
I did not have my Nikon D750 with me as I had only gone out for a few minutes to pick up our dinner. I had my Iphone 11 and used it to take a few captures. That was a lesson learned for me. Always have my camera handy, I never know when an opportunity comes up for that perfect shot.Inspiration
It was something that was unexpected but as soon as I saw the beauty of that sunset and the way it lit up the grass I knew that it would make a great capture.Editing
Very little post processing as I was already working on a jpeg file from my Iphone. In my camera bag
I normally carry a Nikon D750 with the 24-120mm kit lens, a Nikon 50mm prime lens and a Sigma 105mm macro lens. A Manfrotto tripod, cleaning cloths, polarizing and ND filters.Feedback
As a photograher, always be ready for that opportunity to get the perfect capture. Always have your camera handy and a phone with a camera as a backup.
