Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken while I was antiquing with my husband. We were in Green Olde Antique Mall in Sevierville, TN I loved how the lanterns were lined up. I straightened them all, and started snapping shots on my iPhone. I loved the view from the window.

Time

This photo was taken about 10:30 am. While I was browsing the antique store where they were located, I noticed the lighting was amazing in this one particular room.

Lighting

The lighting was all natural in the shot. The lanterns were perched on the ledge of a huge window that overlooked a Tennessee creek. The late morning sun made it a perfect shot.

Equipment

This was an Impromptu shot using my iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Inspiration

I was shopping with my husband, and noticed quite a few lanterns in this antique shop in Tennessee. I decided to straighten them along the ledge of the window in an “orderly” fashion, trying to hide their sale tags, and with the view of the beautiful creek behind them, it made for perfect lighting.

In my camera bag

I’m a basic girl, for now. I just have a “beginner” camera, the Canon EOS Rebel T6 DSLR with 18-55mm and 75-300mm lens kit and my handy dandy IPhone 11 Pro Max. I would like to perfect my skills and upgrade my equipment someday.

Feedback

I’m always looking for the interesting, the abnormal, the beautiful in regulator everyday “sights”. What I mean is, don’t always just glance at something, really look at it. Use your imagination, change your perspective. Look at it from all angles, and be creative in your photography. I’m still learning. I always strive to improve. I take photos of everything! It really helps to see things differently through the camera lens.
