Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken during a lone photowalk along the park,in my university campus in Lagos,Nigeria.

Time

This was taken early in the morning, because i was hoping to capture animals leaving their niches to start their day. The photo was taken on November 27, 2020 at 9.09am.

Lighting

I relied on the natural light within the vicinity to take the photo and appropriate camera settings to keep everything in balance.

Equipment

This was shot on a Canon eos 200d, with a 50mm f/1.8 lens only.

Inspiration

I wanted to show what it's like living in the animal world, understanding obligatory purpose without question.

Editing

I had to merge 5 photos to create the image due to the subjects going out of focus during multiple takes.

In my camera bag

I always carry my canon eos 200d with my 18-55mm f/3.5 lens and 50mm f/1.8 lens.

Feedback

Capturing smaller creatures with the wrong gear can prove to be difficult , which are the challenges i faced, because the subject tends to go out of focus most times. So trying to create something similar would require a better gear or appropriate camera settings and a lot of patience.
