Location
This photo was taken in the field around the corner of my house. At the time, I did not have my drivers license, so the photos I took were all in walking distance from my house.Time
This photo was taken on my afternoon walk around my neighborhood. I absolutely loved the golden light that illuminated everything.Lighting
My camera does not have an on body flash, so all the lighting in my photos is completely natural. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to get this beautiful lighting.Equipment
This was shot on a Pentax K-1 Mark II, with the Pentax D HD FA 28-105mm f/3.5-5.6 ED DC WR Lens. I did not use a tripod or a flash.Inspiration
I've always thought that Butterflies are a little bit magical. They are so beautiful and graceful. When I saw this butterfly fluttering around an open field by my house, I decided to try and take a photo of it landing on a flower. With lots of attempts, and a little bit of patience, I managed to get this shot.Editing
For this photo, I only did a little bit of post-processing. I played a little bit with the exposure, saturation and sharpness, but other than that, this photo is entirely natural. In my camera bag
In terms of my equipment I travel pretty light. Usually I carry one camera body, and 2 lenses. My Pentax K-1 Mark II is my absolute favorite camera, and the one I use 95 percent of the time. I love the way that all the settings are laid out, it is so user friendly. In terms of lenses I switch between my Pentax D HD FA 28-105mm f/3.5-5.6 ED DC WR Lens and my Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6 APO DG Macro Autofocus Lens.Feedback
Sometimes you need to have patience if you want to get your dream shot. If you wait long enough, and take many versions of the same photo, eventually you will get a photo that you love.
