Behind The Lens

Location

I was walking and looking for something interesting to photograph. And I look in the ground, there was those beautiful little purple flowers. It was in Haïti.

Time

I think it was around 10 or 11 in the morning.

Lighting

At this time of the day the sun is like in the middle of the sky but since it was in the ground,my shadow was covering the flower. And I used the flash to take the shot.

Equipment

I used my smartphone.

Inspiration

I usually like taking pictures of things related to nature like flowers or sunset. Usually when I want to take a shoot,I look everywhere in the sky or in the ground. By looking in the ground,I saw those flowers and take a picture of one of them.

Editing

The only thing that I did was putting my smartphone, which I take the picture with, close to the flower and put my flash on.

In my camera bag

It was just my phone.

Feedback

I take a lot of shoots like that usually of flowers. (Since I take them with my phone, I hope my advice can help) Just put the phone close to the object (here flower) you want to capture and put your light or flash on.You can look at the preview of the picture to see how it will look like ,and take your shot. What I can recommend is to put the aperture or the shutter speed up so there's less light coming in the lense.
