Thanks everyone! This came out of the blue for me and really put a smile on my face the first thing in a Monday.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on the windowsill in my home with my iPhone right after purchase of both.

Time

This show was taken in the afternoon judging by the way the light is hitting it

Lighting

I took this shot as an experiment to see how usable the raw image is out of an iPhone.

Equipment

iPhone 12 Pro Max Natural light

Inspiration

The cactus itself. It was almost begging to be photographed :)

Editing

Light editing to the contrast, black point, and warmth (all iPhone editing terms within their photo app).

In my camera bag

Nowadays I keep the following with me: Nikon D610 with Nikon 80-400mm 4.5-5.6 zoom Nikon D800 with Nikkor 50mm 1.8D A sling strap Various cleaning tools Various other lenses

Feedback

Take the photo. It doesn’t matter what you take it with, just take it. I carry what equipment I do due to the fact I’m after some specific shots which I’m happy to pull the car over for, jump out, and try to get the photo. Still, the best advice is take photos often.
