Canon EOS 7Dii, and Canon EF 100L f2.8 Macro lens. Switch to 0.5m to infinity and the macro lens becomes a 100mm portrait prime lens and it is very sharp ! ! !Inspiration
My naughty cat is often my go to model and he has got use to me taking photos of him. Sometimes I notice he mood, pose, or his behaviour and that can make reach for my cameraEditing
I edit in colour first before I use a Lightroom preset for Black & White. I would brighten his eyes slightly, boost the clarity with brush in certain areas of the image only, plus what old school would call 'Dodge & Burn !In my camera bag
This depends where I am going and what I am going there fore. My go to are Canon 7Dii, Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM contempoary which is a very good all round walk about lens. The other go to lens is Canon Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM Lens. This is a great tele lens that is compact, not that heavy and sharp and is my 2nd best sharp lens just after my EF 100mL f2.8 Macro lens.Feedback
Pets are the best model to try out ideas and technique as they are comfortable with you being around them. Always focus on the eyes and zoom out a little to give you room to crop ( if you need to ) in post editing.
