I took this shot at my home in Florida. I am still very new and so far self taught though id love to take a class! Im learning something new in every shot whether it's do's or don'ts. Viewbug has really given me the confidence to really go for what i want!Time
This is one of my favorite shots! It was taken at night probably about 11pm. It was tricky as any change in motion to close can cause the smoke to blow away. Very fun and very much recommended to try! Im always looking for ways to inspire people on viewbug like they inspire me!Lighting
I tried many different lightings such as normal room light, candles in the dark from different distances, and lamps also at different distances and with and without flash.Equipment
I have a nikon coolpix b500. I have no equipment other then the camera and my hands though sometimes i will set the camera on a counter for steady clearer pictures as i have unsteady hands.Inspiration
I wanted to do something unique that i hadn't seen yet. I then purchased one in hopes of a good picture and i got it. I am a very visual thinker so when i get the idea i can see it in my head before making it happen!Editing
I did not do any processing as i have not learned about that yet! Every day is a new learning experience! In my camera bag
Camera, extra batteries and lens cloth. My strap never comes off my camera as i can be clumsy lolFeedback
My best suggestion for this type of photo is patience, control any airflow around the place you choose to take your photo as well as move very slowly or it will cause the smoke to float away.
