Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in an abandoned estate west end of Toronto. It is well maintained and has many good spots for photographers.

Time

It was taken during a blue hour at cca 5pm.

Lighting

I love the bloody reflection of the sun setting down. Also partially lighting the mode’s face. The timing was perfect. We had to act fast though.

Equipment

Nikon D850, Nikon 50 mm f1.8

Inspiration

Time of the day, nature and the glass door stirred my creativity. And of course, the beautiful model with her makeup and attire. We have tried a few poses around the veranda, this is one of them.

Editing

Not much in pp, just basic exposure, sharpness, shadows etc.in ACR and PS.

In my camera bag

Nikon D850, lenses: 85/50/35. Foldable reflector, fairy lights, batteries, flash occasionally.

Feedback

Timing is important. Keep yr eyes opened for an opportunity. Planning and scouting a place is important.
