Location
I took this photo in Maui when my husband I and were there for our honeymoon. We were at a restaurant on the beach for dinner and I saw this amazing sunset and had to capture it on film.Time
It was taken at approximately 7PM.Lighting
I did not use any flash or special lighting when taking the picture. The lighting was all natural.Equipment
Photo was taking with a Canon Powershot A510.Inspiration
What really captured my attention and made me want to take the photo was the light beams coming from behind the clouds and the beautiful colors in the sunset.Editing
I did use Snapseed in post processing to lighten up the foreground to show the beautiful purple flowers in contrast to the sunset.In my camera bag
I am actually in the process of buying all new equipment so I can be more serious about my hobby. All of my photos so far have been taken on my cellphone or my older Canon camera with no additional lens or equipment.Feedback
My best advice is to always have your camera with you because these type of pictures can't be planned. You never know, especially when shooting landscapes, when the most amazing photos will be right in front of you. As you are shooting make sure you are looking at the pictures to see if what you are capturing matches what you are seeing with the naked eye.
