Behind The Lens
Location
Horns Bridge in Chesterfield. A very cold night on Chesterfields busiest roundabout.Time
I waited for around 45 minutes for the perfect shot at around about 9pm.Lighting
Those light trails. I'd always wanted to get an image on a busy roundabout. The emergency vehicle was the icing on the cake!Equipment
This was shot on a Canon EOS 4000D, using a Mirage video tripod and a Canon EFS 18-55MM Lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I've always wanted to do light trails on a roundabout. The conditions were right at the time.Editing
I've only really turned the contrast up and highlighted the light trails to make them stand out.In my camera bag
My bridge camera, a Canon Powershot SX40 HS, my DSLR, a Canon EOS 4000D. Various lenses, my tripod, filters, and a windows tablet for retouching on the fly.Feedback
You need patience. Lots of patience. Take the time to learn what can and can't be done, and don't be afraid to try something new.
