So beautiful
See all

Behind The Lens

Location

Pyramid Lake, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada

Time

Late afternoon in September ... +/- 4:30 PM... one of my favourite morning subjects but the clouds and sun that afternoon... awesome!

Lighting

The scenery is majestic in every respect at this location... and the clouds were the added icing on the cake.

Equipment

Nikon D7000 with a 18 - 50 mm Nikkor lens with a circular polarizer... hand held.

Inspiration

Having a look at the scenery and lighting.. how could one not try to capture the moment in image?

Editing

No... if I were to do again I would sequence the shot over 180 degrees and splice for a panorama.

In my camera bag

Nikon D10, Nikon D7000, Canon G16... polarizing filters for all lenses: 55mm auto micro Nikkor; 18-50mm Nikkor; 28 - 300mm Vivitar; lightning trigger; tripod(s) - small and large; lens cleaning equipment and a variety of neutral density filters.

Feedback

Always carry a camera! Patience, Persistence, Passion and perspective. Stir in timing and a bit of luck for best results.
