Behind The Lens
Location
The photo is taken in a former Bulgarian capital - Veliko Tarnovo.Time
Every time I travel to this city I like walking the small street. Usually this happens in the morning. This time I woke up a bit late. And until I reach the exact place the clock showed noon.Lighting
This day was a bit foggy, but until I was walking the fog went up. This allowed the autumn sun to be seen and also it allowed to see everything without loosing it in the fog.Equipment
This was shot with Fujifilm X-T2 with attached 50-140 lens. No other equipment was taken. This lens is enough heavy for walking :)Inspiration
The relief in Veliko Tarnovo is very hilly. During my walks I was trying to find the place where I could see the three churches visible. An finally I succeeded to find such place. Now it is included in my route and favorite place to do stops and to take at least one new photo every time.Editing
As every landscape photo it is not so easy to do post-processing. Difficulty this time was because between background and foreground the distance was significant (few kilometers). So I has selective to to some small dehazing and to increase e bit vibrancy of the autumn colors. The other post-processing included small cropping in order to improve the composition. All these steps I did using Adobe Photoshop. In my camera bag
I care with me two cameras - on my belt Ricoh GR II and in bag Fujifilm X-T2. The lenses vary depending on my plans - for street photography and general purpose 16-80. For walking on hills I prefer 50-140 because of the ability for compressing the view.Feedback
Walking in picturesque cities like Veliko Tarnovo could be both ability to see interesting architecture and people as well as ability to take beautiful photos on them. Just go side of the main touristic spots and try not to fear of climbing a lot of stairs (especially in the winter when they are covered with ice).
