Location
This photo is taken in our living room, back from summer when times were a little more free. I have been on several photography courses and take every opportunity to get my camera out, especially with friends involved.Time
Most likely an inhumane hour. Knowing us.Lighting
Flash was used but lower the highlight to make sure no shiney foreheads are involved. A pastel pink was more aesthetic than a glowing one.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon EOS 1300D with a 18-55mm lens. Flash was used, followed by some simple edits.Inspiration
It just felt like the right moment. When taking pictures of people, especially candid, you just have to wait patiently. They usually do something weird / act a bit more naturally with time. Or a bit of alcohol. Get your camera out at party's thats all I'm saying.Editing
Honestly very little. I used a simple editing app called VSCO to pastel the tones, lower the highlight and add a little grain for the finishing touch. In my camera bag
Always my Canon EOS 1300D with its 18-55mm lens. A couple of spare SD cards and a lens wipe. That's about it. Occasionally my macro lens if I have space. Maybe a snack or two.Feedback
Bring your camera even if you're not planning on using it. Take it when you go out to see your friends, go on a walk with your parents. You may just capture a beautiful moment, off chance. And even if you don't, you'll have something to keep for the memories.
