Although this photo looks like it was taken deep in the woods, the shot was taken in a abandoned cotton factory in my city while I was exploring with friends.Time
This photo resembles one of the nicest memories I have so far. Me and my friends love exploring abandoned buildings and factories, so one day after school we decided to go to a cotton factory that was abandoned long ago. It was late October and the weather was just perfect. The exact day and time when the photo was taken is 24.10.2019. 3:54pm.Lighting
Since it was shot in nature I didn't have much control over the lighting, but I loved the mysterious energy of the place.Equipment
This was shot on NikodD5300, 45mm lens.Inspiration
The funny thing is I was so scared when I took this picture. We were in an unknown environment and we didn't know what was further down this pathway. We were scared to run into a guard or someone that maybe found shelter there. So all of my friends walked in front of me and I loved the entire composition of what would later be in the picture. Then I let them all go further away while I was waiting for them to get out of frame, I didn't tell them anything cause I didn't wanna disturb them. I was standing there all by myself scared to be caught but honestly the nature around me really helped me to calm down later on.Editing
I used lightroom to make the picture a little warmer. In my camera bag
Since I usually take pictures in abandoned places I have my camera and lens, so in case of any damage I could replace the equipment a bit easier. And I have to bring some safety equipment sometimes so that's really all I have space for. I also like shooting self portraits so for that I usually use my NikonD3500 and a tripod. I do film photography on my grandfathers Nikon and I also take polaroids but I usually don't submit those kinds of pictures because they are more for fun. But I do like to take picture on multiple cameras (DSLR/film) so I have different versions of the place I'm photographing.Feedback
I always follow my gut felling about taking photos and I end up with pictures that I like most of the time, so my advice is to follow your vision, and your gut feeling, capture anything that's interesting and fun to you, something good has to come out of it.
