This photo was taken in a beautiful Hotel Dana in Szczecin, Poland, which is very good for mimicking the 20's-30's style.Time
It was late autumn afternoon, so artificial lighting was needed.Lighting
Regular lighting from the room, plus a softbox with constant light made of 4 big fluorescent lamps.Equipment
It was shot with a Sony a6000 camera with Samyang AF 35mm 1.4 lens wide open handheld. Constant fluorescent light (4 big bulbs in a softbox).Inspiration
Few photographers and few models decided to go to this beautiful hotel and stylized everything to be something like 20's or 30's.Editing
At first some regular postprocessing, like curves etc., then went into black and white, carefully balancing the source colours. Once in black and white, shadows, lights and overall contrast.In my camera bag
As a rule of thumb I always carry two Sigmas: 30mm and 60mm, plus an universal zoom from Sony. Everything else depends on what I'm going for this time.Feedback
Strong, but limited make-up, dreamy eyes, strong colours of a wardrobe, lots of black colour.
