Behind The Lens

Location

I was traveling and went to visit the Ricardo Brennand Institute, a museum in the city of Recife in Pernambuco. A magical place, where you can transport yourself to different times. In the medieval collections, I found this statuette and photographed it.

Time

As of February 8, 2017, in the afternoon, it should be about 3 pm. A detail that this museum only works in the afternoon.

Lighting

I used a long exposure, because inside the museum it doesn't allow the use of flash.

Equipment

I used a samsung J2 cell phone in professional mode, as I forgot my extra battery for my Nikon camera at the hotel.

Inspiration

It reminded me of something like, The Lord of the Rings J. R. R. Tolkien

Editing

I did a processing in the open source editor GIMP. I improved the sharpness, I changed the photo to black and white.

In my camera bag

Nikon camera, 18 - 250mm lens, I usually take pictures of nature in forests, and I prefer not to have to change lenses all the time, as environments are difficult to carry equipment.

Feedback

Observe how much light you have in the environment, and have manual control of the equipment.
