Location
The photo was taken in Boca do Inferno, Cascais. It's not far from the capital city of Lisbon.Time
I walked for a long distance by night, from downtown Cascais to Boca do Inferno, in order to avoid the light pollution of the city.Lighting
The place was so dark and without light pollution, consequently, we could see this amaizng milky way!Equipment
I took this photogrph with the Canon 7D and the Canon 18-55mm f 3.5. lens. I also used a manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
When I was searching in google maps a beautiful spot near Lisbon to take landscape shots thanI found Boca do Inferno. In reality, my goal was take a long exposure of the ocean but I arrived late and it was dark. I searched for another type of composition, and fortunatly I got my first milky way photograph that I'm proud of.Editing
I Edited my raw file with Lightroom CC. My goal was to make the foreground a little bit darker in order to focus on the fantastic sky.In my camera bag
Genrally, I Have in my bag the Canon 7D and with the 18-55mm f3.5 lens. I also take with me the ND Filter Hoya 400 ans my Manfrotto tripod.Feedback
My advice is to planify before the shot and take time for finding the right spot, because the composotion is very important and also the right moment. You should look for a new moon day and avoid the light pollution of cities.
