Location
I took this photo during my winter trip to Yosemite National ParkTime
I woke up around 6 am and walked through empty and still sleepy Yosemite Village. No people around, no cars, no noise. When I got to this place the church was still locked and the lights were still on after the night. Nothing spoiled the scene yet.Lighting
I just wanted to shoot the building. The light was even. It was a very gloomy cold morning in Yosemite.Equipment
This was shot on Nikon D750 with Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 lens.Inspiration
I love the outdoors! And I love Yosemite National Park! I think it is my favorite location not only for photography but for rest, hiking, and exploring as well. There is just something special about this place that brings me back there over and over again.Editing
I did some retouching and colorgrading in Lightroom. That was enough to leave me with a picture that satisfied my taste. In my camera bag
Normally I carry my Nikon D750 with me. That camera has been to so many countries now. I know every little thing about that camera. I know exactly what images it will produce in any scenario. Also, I normally carry a few lenses to cover all the focal lengths from 15mm to 200mm (Tamron 15-30mm f2.8, Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 and my favorite Tamron 70-200mm 2.8).Feedback
Yosemite is a great place for exploring, spending time outdoors, and photography! While there are, of course, some legendary places, there is really no bad place to get your camera out and look for something interesting to photograph. The only tip I would like to give is "Wake Up Early!" - there are always lots of tourists in the park.
