Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on one of the back street in Pompeii, off the beaten tourist route.

Time

This was during the late morning 11:30 am.

Lighting

Being the sun at its highest part of the day, I wanted very little shadows.

Equipment

This was shot with a Nikon D3300, with 18-200mm at 1/2500s -f/5.

Inspiration

I wanted to show how the streets were constructed, being well made after so many years they still look like the oxen carts are still traveling on them.

Editing

Very little post-processing, usually in LR bring out the highlights and shadows.

In my camera bag

Normally I carry two cameras, presently I carry a Nikon D7500 and a D7200, 18-300mm, 10-24mm, and a prime 35mm. It all depends on what when and where I shoot.

Feedback

Hardest part of taking shots of historical locations is finding the spot where no tourist ruin a good shot.
