I have been learning all I can on my own since my 35mm. I took this in Gatlinburg tn. There is a secret castle in the mountains. Me and many of the people who are from and have lived in sevier county have a photo of this place.Time
We had hiked this year's ago. Early 90s we sat down at dusk. My husband and I really love the beautiful secrets sevier county has. This picture has been recovered so many times, it has degraded from its original. I try to brighten it and show the love behind the day.Lighting
I was so happy the private lake was still. I was abel to catch an almost mirror of the castle. It was so close to dark by the time we hiked here I was glad I could brighten it.Equipment
I took this picture in the early 90s so I still had a 35mm. I loved it though it was a water proof canon. I was so young I dont remember the specs.Inspiration
I had taken many of the trip but the lighting that day had been so poor. I was just glad to have one left of this day and the mirror effect always gets me.Editing
Many years ago I scanned the original. I have only used brightened and try to draw out the detail with black.In my camera bag
I have taken a vast majority of these photographs with my Carl zeiss. Many others I have just used my Samsung phone. Depending on what I have the batteries for.Feedback
Because of the area fog, rolls in and out. Many days could feel dry and warm, when you get to the heights of the castle it is usually cold. I was lucky it takes patience to get the mirror off the lake especially with any details. This was taken with a 35mm, scanned I was abel to add some light.. I wound have been happier spending time, getting to see the terain. I would have found a better vantage point that would felt the best. It is a guarded has a very large security fence.
