Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on our backyard deck in Kansas.

Time

It was taken around 5 p.m.

Lighting

It was a grey, overcast day.

Equipment

I shot this photo with my Canon 6D Mark II using my Canon 70-200mm f.2.8 lens. It was shot at 95mm using 1/250 f/2.8 ISO125.

Inspiration

We had an unexpected ice storm in October. We hadn't had a chance to put away all of our outdoor flowers and plants yet. These are a worn out pair of my husband's Harley Davidson riding boots that we had converted into a planter. I thought it was a beautiful image.

Editing

Just a little tweaking of lighting and contrast to suit my eye.

In my camera bag

My go to gear includes my two Canon bodies, a Canon EOS 70D (crop sensor) and a Canon EOS 6D Mark II (full frame). My go to lenses are my Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8, my Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 and my Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6

Feedback

Shoot what you see, if it catches your eye, there's a reason.
