Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken while I was walking through a small park in Ottawa.

Time

If I remember correctly it was in the afternoon

Lighting

The lighting was completely natural, with sunshine coming through the leaves

Equipment

I used a Panasonic DMC-FZ200, hand held.

Inspiration

I was taking several photos to practice how to achieve good bokeh.

Editing

I typically use Photoshop Elements for conversion from RAW, as well as Topaz5 and Topaz Studio2.

In my camera bag

My camera, an extra battery and memory card, lens cleaner and cloth, tripod if I feel I will need it.

Feedback

To achieve a blurred background, you need to focus on the subject from a distance, and have some distance between the subject and background. It's just a matter of trying different set ups to get the result you desire.
