Location

This is a shot of my boat Lady Beta, moored on the banks of the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal in sunny South Wales

Time

From what I remember I would say late afternoon on a fine September in 2019

Lighting

The lighting wasn't contrived or even noted in this shot. Any depth is created by the layer upon layer of foliage both in the foreground and beyond the canal. I Remember what attracted my attention initialy was the effect of the swaying leaves in a lightly pulsed breeze. It brought the trees to life. I saw a swaying Woolly Mammoth leisurely reaching out with it's trunk and pulling great bundles of leaves from the branches and casting them into his awaiting mouth.

Equipment

This image was taken with a Nokia mobile phone. The afternoon was spent picking magic mushrooms in the surrounding hills of Llangyndr and so the Nokia was all I had with me.

Inspiration

The creatures within the branches and leaves , the never ending fractals in the shape of the Queens silhouette as on a postage stamp, The Berries !

Editing

Most of the processing was in my mind. The rouge of the Holly berries was proudly demanding attention over all the morphing characters in this menagerie of limitless species and their sober shades
