Location
I took this photo out on the ocean on the coast of Oregon, whilst I was out fishing with some family.Time
This was one of my favorite photos to take, it was around 1pm and the sun just bounced of the water perfectly.Lighting
I wanted to capture the essence of what makes the ocean so calming for me and part of that for me came from this lighting. It’s not to bright and it’s not to dark it just turned out perfectly.Equipment
The only equipment I used for the photo was my IPhone 4 at the time with a little editing after the fact but that’s all it took to take this photograph.Inspiration
The water inspired me, I have always loved being out on the ocean if I was fishing or not either way it was fine with me. The ocean has always been able to calm me and I wanted to capture it that day as the waters were still,Editing
Yes I did all I really did with this photo is calm the brightness of the Sun a little making it a little more relaxing to look at, and I added a lens flare which is the rainbow circle, to just give this photo an amazing affect. In my camera bag
All I carry around with me is my iPhone and that’s all!Feedback
Don’t over think a photo that’s, in my opinion, what ruins a photo. I took this photo with my iPhone 4 and it looks like a picture taken with a normal camera so don’t overthink what you’re doing at it will all be great!
