Location
I took this photo when my husband and I went on a Sunday drive during Autumn to do a fly fishing and take a few photos. We drove Highway 40 in Colorado and on the way back through Kremmling almost to Parshall Colorado is a well known spot called Sunset and we pulled over and my husband went to try his hand in some gold medal waters of the Colorado River for some Brook, Brown, or Rainbow trout and I was walking our dog, Peanut and I turned around and saw this picture in front of me. I grabbed my Canon Rebel EOS T6 and starting snapping some shots and this is the results. It was a gorgeous late afternoon on the Colorado River with perfect lighting provided by the late afternoon sun. I am a self taught photographer and I love learning something new every time I go out to take pictures
Time
It was the perfect time of day the "the golden hour" the late afternoon sun was perfect for this photograph
Lighting
There was no artificial lighting used in this photograph just the late afternoon sun which is called the Golden Hour and I was in the right place at the right time. I wanted my photograph to remind people that even in a pandemic you can find ways to social distance like fly fishing or seeing the beauty of Fall when the leaves change color and get back to nature and that the world is still a place to find beauty in.
Equipment
This photo was taken with my Canon Rebel EOS T6, with an Aperture f/9, ISO 100, Shutter 1/200, Focal length 43/1.

Inspiration
My inspiration came from walking the dog and when I turned around to come back to where we were parked, I looked up at my husband fly fishing and what you see in this photo is what I saw when I turned around and I always have my camera on me. I ran to the truck and grabbed my camera and started taking photos as many as I could.
Editing
There was very little post-processing that needed to be done with this photograph. I added a little bit of blue to the sky and I actually had to lighten the orange in the trees just a couple of clicks and that was all it needed.
In my camera bag
In camera bag I always have my Canon Rebel EOS T6 with my 18-55mm and 75-300mm lenses, a cleaning cloth, and always an extra battery and a very sturdy tripod and that is it. I don't use filters and I don't do photoshop yet, I use the editing software that came on my MacBook computer.
Feedback
My advice to someone trying to capture something similar is to always carry your camera with you and take a ton of pictures using your manual settings/focus and trying a lot of different settings and angles and use the either very early or late afternoon sun. My best photos are usually the ones I did not plan, so always be ready to take photos at moments notice. Take a drive out in the country or the mountains and enjoy nature and take a walk and lots of photos and see how fast you photos progress. Thanks for the love on my photograph it means the absolute world to me.
