Location
After spending an hour in McKinney, TX waiting for the clouds to change direction I called it quits and packed up for the night. Then, as I was driving away it happened - I leaned out of my car window and snapped this shot at just the right time to catch the lightning turn the cool blue sky pink for a split second.Time
This was taken shortly after dark.Lighting
It was nearly dark so lighting needed to come from the lightning itself.Equipment
Canon Rebel t3iInspiration
I had been learning how to capture lighting at the time so this was a personal challenge.Editing
I punched up the colors a bit and added some more texture to the clouds. In my camera bag
Normally just my trusty Canon and a wide angle lens. And extra batteries of course.Feedback
Honestly, patience. I had given up by the time I took this photo but if I had stayed where I was it would have been a tremendous composition compared to this one.
