Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my front yard in upstate New York.

Time

It was around midday.

Lighting

Its was an overcast day and I used no artificial lighting.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D3300 with a Nikon DX VR AF-S NIKKOR 18-55MM 1:3.5-5.6G II lens, I also used a tripod.

Inspiration

One of the things I've aloved about snow is when it comes down in big flakes. I also love taking pictures of my dog.

Editing

Yes. Due to the overcast day I increased the exposure.

In my camera bag

I always have my three lenses with me. Nikon DX VR AF-S NIKKOR 18-55MM 1:3.5-5.6G II, Nikon DX AF-S Micro NIKKOR 40MM 1:2.8G, Nikon DX VR AF-S NIKKOR 55-200MM 1:4-5.GII ED, Tripod, spare batteries, and lens filters.

Feedback

When photographing animals it takes patience. They don't always do what you ask, so I use a fast shutter speed and just let them do what is natural. Take alot of shots to make sure you get a few great ones!
