Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken while riding the back roads of Northern Alabama with a friend on a cool autumn day.

Time

We were cruising in my friends car on some back roads where we grew up, reminiscing of old times gone by when I shouted (Not real loud) STOP THE CAR PLEASE. I hopped out with my gear and snapped this shot. It was around 3pm in the afternoon with a cool breeze blowing.

Lighting

The sun was headed down and the lighting was perfect for this image. The trees provided the shadows and the sun highlights. The leaves seemed to dance in front of me as if they were teasing me.

Equipment

This photo was taken with a Pentax K3 camera, lens was a Tamron 24?70mm f2.8

Inspiration

I was actually looking for a barn to photograph when the beauty of nature struck my eyes and I had to stop and take a picture.

Editing

Very little editing done with this photo. I did make the colors pop a little more and that was it.

In my camera bag

At the time this photo was taken I had a Pentax K3. Today I carry a Sony A7RII, it never fails to please my eyes on the end results.

Feedback

Timing is a key factor along with lighting conditions. Weather plays a big part, like if it's cloudy or sunny. If it's cloudy you will have to set your camera for those conditions and the same goes for sunny weather too.
